The International Adsorption Society (IAS) is happy to announce this year's PhD Thesis Award recipient, Dr. Emile Beckwée from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. Joeri Denayer supervised the thesis, titled “Enhancing hydrate-based CH4 and H2 storage through confinement”, which can be downloaded here. This year, the competition was strong, and the IAS thanks the committee for their deliberations.
The IAS presents the annual Award for Excellence in the PhD Dissertation to provide recognition to exceptional young scientists or engineers, who have performed original doctoral thesis work of outstanding quality, achievement and impact in the area of adsorption. The award consists of $1,000 and a certificate citing the accomplishments of the recipient. The award winner will be given the opportunity to present their work through one of the society’s activities, e.g., IAS Webinar, FOA conference.
